Help celebrate Texas Recycles Day by volunteering at Live Green in Plano’s annual drive-thru collection event. This event provides unwanted, usable items a second chance while helping organizations in need. Items collected during the event are donated to the onsite organizations while being kept out of the landfill. Additionally, electronics recycling and secure paper shredding are offered at the event.
All donations (except electronics and shredding) are dropped off in this drive-thru line. Volunteers will help unload the items being donated from cars, and/or sort the items to ensure that they go to the correct onsite organization.
A background check is required to volunteer at this event for adults (ages 18+).
This is a fast-paced environment to ensure that cars continually move through the line as quickly as possible. Volunteers must be able to work on their feet (outdoors) for the duration of the shift (breaks provided as needed) and move quickly.
