Volunteer to help educate attendees how to create shelters and food sources for a wide variety of wildlife living in our yards and gardens. The Wonders of Wildlife event features a variety of hands-on learning stations for attendees to explore. Volunteers will help oversee a learning station at the event.
Spray Away Safely Table - Demonstrate to attendees how to mix up eco-friendly alternatives to herbicides and pesticides. Attendees will be able to make-and-take home safe solutions for dealing with unwanted garden pests.
Held at Environmental Education Center 4116 W Plano Pkwy, Plano, TX 75093
All instructions and necessary supplies will be provided onsite to volunteers.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old to volunteer at this table and must have completed a background check prior to the event.
Volunteer responsibilities include:
- Must be friendly and willing to engage and interact with adults and children
- Must be comfortable talking to a large number of people
- Must be able to provide clear directions
- Assist with set up of the table
- Greet attendees as they arrive
- Must be able to follow a simple recipe and explain the recipe to attendees
- Pack up the table once the event ends
- Assist with overall cleanup once the event ends
