Volunteer to help educate attendees how to create shelters and food sources for a wide variety of wildlife living in our yards and gardens. The Wonders of Wildlife event features a variety of hands-on learning stations for attendees to explore. Volunteers will help oversee a learning station at the event.
Backyard Buddies Table - Provide information to attendees about common wildlife that visit our suburban landscapes.
All instructions and necessary supplies will be provided onsite to volunteers.
Held at Environmental Education Center 4116 W Plano Pkwy, Plano, TX 75093
Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to volunteer at this table. All adults (ages 18+) must have completed a background check to participate in this opportunity.
Volunteer responsibilities include:
- Must be friendly and willing to engage and interact with adults and children
- Must be comfortable talking to a large number of people
- Must be able to provide clear directions
- Assist with set up of the table
- Greet attendees as they arrive
- Distribute event materials
- Pack up the table once the event ends
- Assist with overall cleanup once the event ends
