THIS IS NOT A VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY
TEXAS RECYCLES DAY

Join us on Saturday, Nov. 8, between 8:30 am and noon for Texas Recycles Day: our biggest FREE drive-through, drop-off collection event of the year in the Chase Oaks Church parking lot (281 Legacy Drive). Donate to our local partner organizations and support reuse and recycling. You’ll help reduce landfill-bound waste and change someone’s life for the better!
Examples of accepted items include:
- Bicycles – any size, any condition
- Eyeglasses – any condition, except for glasses cases, which are not accepted
- Hearing aids – any condition
- Yarn – Medium/worsted weight (#4), all colors and brands
- Sporting goods – except for fitness gear, treadmills, ellipticals, exercise bikes, weight plates, bars, benches and anything with wheels, which are not accepted
- Electronics – except for TVs, LCD or CRT monitors with broken screens, which are not accepted
- Secure on-site paper shredding – maximum of two standard file-size boxes
Our partner organizations change annually. Visit Plano.gov/TRD for a complete list of this year’s accepted items and important details. Items not listed will be turned away. As you prepare your items, please pack them by category so your car can be unloaded faster and your items can be sorted more efficiently.
Can’t make it to Texas Recycles Day? Our convenient Community Recycling Events are available on the first, second and third Saturday of every month. Please note: Texas Recycles Day is the only opportunity where fees to recycle certain electronics are waived; fees may apply at the regularly scheduled Community Recycling Events.
