Photograph the Plano Holiday Market
Join our volunteer team as an Event Photographer and help us capture the vibrant community spirit of Plano! We are looking for passionate photographers to cover various events, from festivals and concerts to cultural celebrations. Your photos will help showcase the best of Plano, encouraging visitors and locals alike to experience our city’s unique events and attractions.
Responsibilities:
- Attend the Plano Holiday Market event
- Capture candid and posed shots of attendees, activities, and key moments.
- Follow any specific photo guidelines provided (e.g., focusing on smiling faces, wide-angle shots of event setups, etc.).
- Ensure photos align with Visit Plano's brand and storytelling objectives.
Requirements:
- Basic photography skills (professional experience not required but a plus).
- Access to your own camera or smartphone with high-quality photo capabilities.
- Willingness to travel to various event locations in Plano.
- Open to individuals 18+
- Complete a background check (if VIP doesn't already have one on file for you)
Photo Submission Process:
- Event Assignment & Briefing: You’ll receive an email assignment with event details and specific photo guidelines. Please review and confirm your availability at least three days before the event.
- Photo Capture at Event: Attend the event and take photos as outlined in the briefing. Aim to capture a variety of shots that reflect the atmosphere, attendee engagement, and key activities.
- Photo Selection & Editing (if applicable): Select your top 20-30 photos from the event. Minor edits (cropping, adjusting brightness) are encouraged to enhance photo quality but aren’t required.
- Upload Photos: Within 24 hours of the event, upload your selected photos to our shared Google Drive folder, which you will receive access to upon assignment.
- Final Review & Approval: Our team will review the photos and may reach out if additional shots or edits are needed. Once approved, your photos may be used on our social media, website, or promotional materials
Turnaround Time: Please upload your photos within 24 hours after the event. Timely uploads ensure we can showcase the event on social media while it’s still fresh in the public’s mind!
