CELEBRATE THE REOPENING OF THE TOM MUEHLENBECK RECREATION CENTER

Mark your calendars. Plano Parks and Recreation has announced the special grand reopening of the newly renovated Tom Muehlenbeck Recreation Center (TMC) on Thursday, Dec. 4. Voters approved funding for the project in the 2021 bond election for the 84,000-square-foot facility. TMC now features major upgrades to amenities, equipment and infrastructure, including:
- New children's pool play structure
- New pool deck
- Refreshed locker rooms
- Main sewer line replacement
- Replaced outdated HVAC for improved temperature control and performance
- Resurfaced track and gym floor, with striping to expand pickleball court access
- New cardio equipment and improved cardio room environment
- Refreshed landscaping and irrigation
- Updates to meet all current codes
Be one of the first group of patrons to access the updated TMC immediately following the ribbon cutting. Regular hours of operations resume at 5 am on Friday, Dec. 5.
