Who We Are
1/31/25 - The 2025 Point-In-Time Count was a success thanks to 65 volunteers, Plano Neighborhood Services and the Plano Police Department. Thank you everyone!
Were you unable to join us this year? If you create a profile there is an option to indicate "Homelessness & Housing" as an Interest area when you sign up and that will ensure you're on the list to hear about the 2026 Count or other ways to get involved throughout this year. Thank you!
The purpose of the US Department of Housing and Urban Development mandated Annual Homeless Census (also known as Point-in-Time) count is to obtain a census of our unhoused neighbors in our community. The data collected during the PIT count helps our community understand the extent of homelessness, changing trends, and the measure of success in making homelessness rare, brief and nonrecurring.
What We Do
The Point-in-Time (PIT) Count is held in January each year.
Volunteers are truly making a difference by participating in the count and contributing to our efforts to address homelessness in our community. The City of Plano is grateful for all who contribute to the cause.
