THIS IS NOT A VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY
FIRE STATION 5 GRAND OPENING

Fire Station 5 reopens after a $12-million renovation and expansion funded by the 2021 bond referendum.
The station, located at Park Boulevard and Preston Road, first opened in 1983. For more than 40 years, it has served Plano residents and will now continue to do so with upgraded facilities designed to meet the City’s growth.
The project nearly doubled the size of the building from 7,200 to 14,000 square feet. The additional space allows Plano Fire-Rescue to house more emergency vehicles and equipment, including a new medical unit and a hazardous materials truck and trailer.
Firefighters and paramedics now have a renovated living area with more beds, providing space during long shifts. A required storm shelter was also added, along with new parking areas for staff and visitors.
Join us for a grand opening event which will include a ribbon cutting, public tours and an opportunity to meet firefighters.
